η απελευθέρωση του Galoup. | Galoup’s deliverance.

Δεν μπορώ να περιγράψω τι ένιωσα όταν παρακολουθούσα τις τελευταίες σκηνές για πρώτη φορά. Σίγουρα ,ήμουν πιο θολωμένος από τον ίδιο τον Galoup (Denis Lavant), θυμάμαι όμως τι μου έπραξε.

Σηκώθηκα και άρχισα να κουνώ κι εγώ τα χέρια μου πάνω από το κεφάλι μου μόνος στο σκοτάδι στους ρυθμούς του The Rhythm of the Night.

Από τότε δεν σταμάτησα ποτέ να υποκλίνομαι στο μεγαλείο του τελευταίου χορού του Beau Travail ταινίας της σκηνοθέτιδος Claire Dennis η οποία γύρισε τους καλύτερους τίτλους τέλους στην ιστορία του κινηματογράφου.

I cannot describe my emotions while watching the last scenes for the first time. I was as addled as Galoup (Denis Lavant), if not more. What I can recall is the impact this film had on me.

Alone in the dark, I stood up and started moving my hands in the air listening to the tunes of The Rhythm of the Night.

From then and on, I have never stopped admiring the greatness of the last dance in the movie Beau Travail. A true masterpiece of the director Claire Dennis, who managed to deliver one of the best endings in the history of cinema.
